Action Spectacular are always compared to certain bands but I really don’t want to mention them because it’s not fair to say that they sound like them. How’s about I do a deal with you though? I want you to understand that this band are a separate entity above everything else but (notice the but) if you are a fan of any of the following three bands, you will love Action Spectacular. The three are: Beta Band, Badly Drawn Boy and Beck.

This band are eccentric, you only have to look at their record sleeves and the weird messages from “a friend” to know that, but their not so far gone as to alienate their listeners, which is a good thing. If this album does not get into the runnings for album of the year this year I am going to be very upset so go forth and make Action Spectacular huge!
