‘Hi-Fi Serious’ bursts forth from my speakers with their familiar blend of British Nu Metal and catchy pop. The familiar hits ‘Nothing’ and ‘Starbucks’ don’t outshine the rest of the pack. There is vitality and vigour in every track - this is an album to scream along with as you throw yourself about the mosh pit.

This release of the album also contains the ‘DVD Serious’ disk which boasts live footage (including ‘Nothing’ and ‘Starbucks’) from this years Reading Festival and Astoria appearances. The latter having been filmed in multi camera mode (Three views are available - One in the stalls, one in the gods and finally the amusing mobile shaky-cam). We also get three short films. The mini movies take you on A’s recent tour round the world in just over three minutes, relive A’s Kerrang gong show 2002 victory and finally some backstage messing about from the lads themselves. Finally, there is a gallery of photos of A taken all over the place and from pretty much all angles!

A worthwhile purchase for all A fanatics who have the album already and an excellent package for the rest of you.
