After a chance meeting with Beatglider’s manager just over two years ago I came into possession of the band’s demo CD. At the time I said, “This is, without a doubt, one of the best demos I have ever heard,” so after all this time my expectations for their new material is pretty high.

The best track on this single, Dreaming Of Roads, is actually taken from that demo CD and builds slowly over six minutes. However, if you think that means that the two new tracks don’t cut it then you are wrong. We Gotta Coast and Cool To Be A Fool both display a poppier, more straight to the point version of Beatglider but capture the relaxed feel, reminiscent of bands like Swell and Grandaddy, that runs throughout their music.
