Beyond All Reason - The Line We Draw Between EP

Posted by: Andy on Monday, 16th February, 2004

Already gaining high praise from the likes of Mary Anne Hobbs and Funeral For a Friend, Beyond All Reason seem set for big things. Brutally heavy one moment and then beautifully melodic the next, in a way that only Deftones have ever really mastered, the praise is not without basis (I almost said, “…not beyond all reason” then but thought it was probably best not to). This EP has managed to capture the energy and atmosphere of a really good gig; something most bands struggle with, though here is seems effortless. If you’re a post-hardcore fan, you can probably burn the rest of your CD collection now, you won’t need anything else.
