After our report yesterday that Pete Doherty had gone AWOL from rehab in Paris, we can now tell you that he has surfaced again in London and is back with The Libertines. He has now told fans that he’s heading to Thailand to kick his drug habits.

On Monday night Doherty and the rest of the Libertines hijacked a gig by The Boxer Rebellion to play a few songs together.

The troubled frontman told fans through his weblog (www.babyshambles.com) that he now plans to jet away to the Thamkrabok Monastery in Thailand in a bid to kick his drug habit once and for all. He also said, “I want to live, and want to be fit for the second album’s airing. I know I can mangle out all the creases and live out further my grandly Arcadian dreams and dear divine adventures all Albion’s sons and daughters. I love you all and will return stronger.”
