Curve Split
Posted by: Andy on Friday, 11th February, 2005After 15 years together, Toni Halliday and Dean Garcia of Curve have announced that they have split. This comes after the recent release of The Way Of Curve, a 2 CD set featuring a best of compilation and a collection of rare and unreleased tracks.
On the split, Halliday says, “after much thought and consideration I have come to the realisation that I can no longer continue with Curve … a few things happened to me last year that really drained me of any confidence I had and made me realise it was time to move on or be in danger of becoming bitter and twisted and losing my love for music.”
In their 15 year lifespan, Curve released 6 studio albums and built up a large underground following, though never achieved quite the level of success most felt they deserved.
It’s not over though; Dean Garcia’s new project, The Dog Lab is up and running with MP3’s available at www.thedoglab.com and Toni Halliday has said that she will release more music in the future.
Full statements from both members of the band can be viewed at www.curve.co.uk.
