A Perfect Circle - aMotion
Posted by: Ven on Saturday, 26th March, 2005Music DVDs as a rule are generally not very entertaining but aMotion is awful even by these low standards.
I am an APC fan so I enjoy the music but there is nothing on the DVD that is not on any of their CDs. The videos for Judith and 3 Libras are good but hardly new. The photo gallery is interesting for about a minute, I suppose, if you like looking at pictures.
Everything else on this DVD is trully awful in every respect.
The supposedly thought provoking videos are prozaic to the extreme, stock footage from various tragedies spliced together in a semi competent way or bog standard flash animation. It is offensive to anyone with a brain.
Maynard. Lyric writing genius, video making imbecile.
The Bikini Bandits efforts take up a large part of the DVD, these are so bland, dull and totally incompatible with APC’s music that i will say no more on the matter. I’m sure there is an explanation as to why the hell these videos were made but no excuse could possibly be good enough. I couldn’t stand to sit through the commentary so I won’t ever know.
The Blue video competition entries are only entertaining to the people who made them. And possibly their mums.
Not only is this DVD awful but there isn’t even that much on it.
Kill yourself rather than buy this and only rent it if you really have nothing else you want to see. In fact just watch channel 5. Seriously.
