The Chinese Democracy: More Tenuous Rumours
Posted by: Andy on Tuesday, 12th April, 2005It’s nearly a year since we announced that the long-awaited, now almost mythical, Guns N’ Roses album The Chinese Democracy might be set for release. Of course, the November release date came and went and fans were no closer to having that CD in their hands.
However, several GNR fansites have got hold of a leaked song entitled IRS, a version of which was played on a New York radio station last year. However, the one doing the rounds now seems to be a different version, which has sparked rumours that the album has been completed and will be released soon (told you it was tenuous).
The MP3 in question is apparently very poor quality and doesn’t feature the entire song. Some websites are proclaiming it to be the demo version, while others say it’s the finished album version.
The current rumoured tracklist for The Chinese Democracy, which has now been in production for nearly eight years, has changed slightly from the one we announced last year, though it does still include our favourite title, TWAT.
- Chinese Democracy
- This I Love
- I.R.S.
- Thyme
- Substitute
- The General
- Seven
- Madagascar
- Ides Of March
- Catcher In The Rye
- Leave Me Alone
- The Blues
- Closing In On You
- There Was A Time (TWAT)
According to a survey conducted by Indigo Flow, most people do believe that the album will eventually be released, though a small percentage believe it will be re-recorded by the original GNR line-up.
