Produced by Akira The Don and James Brown (Nine Inch Nails’ engineer, not the godfather of soul), Clones is the first track to be lifted from Akira’s forthcoming album on Interscope and delivers a heartfelt rant against politicians, the monarchy, celebrities and, er, the whole of society (but, as ever, with a cheeky wink) around an Alice Cooper sample, punchy guitars and swirly synths.

If the buzz is to be believed, next year is going to be the year of Akira The Don. Some are already calling him the new Eminem (he’s much better than that though). Whether the prophesy comes true or not, you should check him out right now.
