The third album from The Beauty Shop continues to gain the band fans and critical acclaim, building on the underground success of Yr Money Or Yr Life and Crisis Helpline.

The opening track of the album, Monster, bears a startling similarity to Fairytales & Lovesongs by All One Surface but overall the album is a lo-fi country affair that owes much to Johnny Cash and Calexico.

Aside from the odd track, like I Got Issues, this album doesn’t have much for you to get your teeth into. Many of the songs simply merge into one another and pass by without really acknowledging that they were even there. The songs aren’t bad but need more imagination to bring them to life.
