Adam Kesher - Where’s My Place

Adam Kesher is a funk-punk-electro duo consisting of two French brothers. With named influences such as Joy Division and Gang of Four, they can only be expected to be pretty cool.

There’s definitely something not to be missed in Where’s My Place, a song which is easily comparable to the likes of Hot Chip, LCD Soundsystem, !!! and ¡Forward, Russia!. There’s definitely something going on in this genre of synth fuelled wonder, spitting out bands who make loud, edgy and manic beats that make you want to dance around like a fool. With vocals not totally unlike those of At The Drive In’s Cedric Bixler-Zavala, the song is truly colossal in it’s sound, accompanied by fast-paced beats and beepy bits you’d expect from an electro-punk outfit.

My knowledge of French bands consists of horrific cheesy boy bands my school exchange partner of some eight years ago (wow, I feel old now) tried to convince me were good. I was having none of it. Adam Kesher, however, are something good from France, and they have the potential to go far.
