After their previous band Third Time Lucky split in 2002, brothers James and Steve Nicholls quickly set about forming a new band, this time aiming for a less straight ahead punk sound. That band is Beyond Reasonable Doubt and this is their debut album. It’s furiously paced, with the legacy of old school punk driving much of the music but a more melodic style constantly battling for centre stage. It’s a tough fight and makes for some frantic and very fresh sounding music.
