For their third album Alexisonfire decided they wanted to better reflect their live sound. The result is eleven stripped down post-hardcore songs with no loops, no overdubs, just a balls out collision of sound.

Though this is still a long way from the rawness of the old school hardcore sound, Alexisonfire have still done much to distinguish themselves from their contemporaries with this stripped back sound and reigned in production. While George Pettit rips through your eardrums with his saw-like voice, Dallas green provides vocal melodies that offset the harshness and often take unexpected turns themselves.

With Crisis, Alexisonfire have cut a mark that will be difficult to match.
