At first, when I began listening to Clair De Lune’s second album, Assisted Living, I thought it was just another post-hardcore by numbers job. And I guess there are things on here you could say have all been done before, but there’s something about these songs that had me hooked fast.

Part of the appeal is the varied nature of the songs. Clair De Lune aren’t scared to slow it down a little, or even add some string. In fact, these tracks are some of the best on the album and they manage to do it without sounding like punks who’ve lost their way.
