London-based music investment company Ingenious have announced that they are to invest £2 million into The Prodigy’s fifth studio album.

The Prodigy recently formed their own record label as a subsidiary of Cooking Vinyl to release the album. The money from the Ingenious deal will be put into the incorporation of this new company, which will deal exclusively with this release.

This latest investment means that Ingenious’ two venture capital funds are now almost fully committed, with just £10 million remaining between them. However, the organisation are currently raising funds for a third trust, which will invest primarily in live music venues.
