Attack is the first single to be taken from 30 Seconds To Mars’ second album, A Beautiful Lie (due for release later this month). Fronted by actor Jared Leto, the band have sold close to a million copies of this album in the US since its release there in 2005 and are hoping to follow up that success over here.

Attack sounds like a million and one other US bands (not least Linkin park) but it’s hard to shake off the chorus after you’ve heard it a couple of times and it certainly doesn’t reek of embarrassing self-indulgence like most of Hollywood actor-fronted bands do. It think that’s what they call “damning with faint praise” but, anyway, if you’re into the likes of Linkin Park and Fall Out Boy you could do worse than give this a poke.
