Fifteen years into their career, this is Harmful’s seventh album, the first to be released outside their native Germany. When they hired ex-Faith No More bassist Billy Gould to produce it, it must have seemed like a bit of a coup for the band. When they managed to convince him to join the band as second guitarist it must have seemed unreal.

Stepping back onto the stage for the first time in almost ten years, Gould joins a band who have gone through many changes in their time together and are currently sounding like a cross between Queens Of The Stone Age and Helmet.

Though at times they sound a little bit too much like these two bands (particularly QOTSA), you can’t fault them on their limitless energy and well-crafted songwriting.
