The Mission Sign To Cooking Vinyl
Posted by: Andy on Thursday, 8th March, 2007The Mission, who celebrate their 21st Anniversary this year, have announced that they will be releasing a new album, God Is A Bullet on 30th April, which will be followed by a UK tour in May.
God Is A Bullet boasts the contributions of some special guests: Simon Hinkler, original guitarist with The Mission; Tim Bricheno, original guitarist of All About Eve; Julianne Regan, vocalist with All About Eve, who also sang on early Mission recordings such as Severina and Beyond The Pale; cellist Caroline Dale (Page & Plant, Dave Gilmour, Oasis) and violinist Cathy Thompson (Michael Nyman band, Peter Gabriel, Robbie Williams).
The album was recorded between September and December 2006 at Nam studios, near Bath and at Wayne’s own Green Room studio in Brazil, and was also produced by Wayne. Full track listing as follows:

The Mission was formed by Wayne Hussey and Craig Adams in 1986 after they left The Sisters Of Mercy. Over the past 21 years, the band has sold in excess of 4 million records worldwide and racked up 14 Top 40 UK hits.
