Metallica are the latest band to announce that they are to play the newly build Wembley Stadium in London, this summer.

Taking time out from recording their new album, the band will play a one-off show on 8th July.

“This gives us a chance to stretch out a bit and jam in front of real fans,” said drummer Lars Ulrich said.

Singer James Hetfield added, “We always dreamed of some day headlining the marquee venues around the world, including Wembley.”
