Clearing the path for Bright Eyes’ new album, Cassadaga, comes Four Winds and finds the band on top form. With violin that pleads for you to stand and then dances right alongside you, this upbeat country song sets Conor Oberst’s instantly recognisable voice against the harmonies of Maria Taylor and Now It’s Overhead’s Andy Lemaster.

By now the quality of Bright Eyes’ music should have started to tail off a bit, but if this single is anything to go by, there’s still plenty of life in them yet.
