No Hats No Trainers features Plan B and I believe this makes it special. For me though, I can’t really get to grips with it. It’s got a fairly inane yet catchy backing track and some people rap about how you can’t wear certain clothes (I assume to get into a bangin’ club) unless you are famous, or of course, Shameless.

I find music which is created for the purpose of people rapping over it absolutely fine, so long as the music is actually good. Perhaps this took hours of work, with nice little hip-to-the-hop boys slaving over a hot computer…but it’s just a fairly watery noise in my ears. I like something with a little more substance and I’m quite disturbed by the instrumental version of the song when it becomes clear you are being subjected to a loop of the same 5 second piece of music for 3 and a half minutes. Maybe I’m missing something here, but to my mind it’s cheesy and completely distracts you from the quirky musings of Shameless and Plan B.
