Rumours that Pete Doherty and Carl Barat of The Libertines have buried the hatchet seem not to have just been tabloid fantasy as the pair were reunited onstage tonight.

The second of two gigs under the banner An Evening With Peter Doherty at the Hackney Empire in London began much as expected but part way through his set Doherty was joined by Barat, to the obvious joy of the audience.
