Slash Wants Guns N’ Roses Reunion
Posted by: Andy on Tuesday, 17th April, 2007Former Guns N’ Roses guitarist, and the man generally considered to be most opposed to a reunion, Slash has told MTV that he would like his old band to get back together again.
Now playing with Velvet Revolver, a band comprising members of GNR and Stone Temple Pilots, he recently told Chilean magazine Rock & Pop that he intends to drop songs by both bands from the Velvet Revolver live show this year.
Speaking later to MTV in Brazil, he later speculated that he and his bandmates might still play those songs again, announcing that he thought it “would be a good idea to get, just for a couple of shows, to get the original STP and the original Guns N’ Roses just to do a couple of shows for the fun of it.”
Don’t expect anything imminent, Velvet Revolver begin a US tour on 4th May and release their second album, Libertad, later the same month.
Oh, and the current incarnation of Guns N’ Roses are still planning to release The Chinese Democracy one day.
