Dave House - See That No One Else Escapes
Posted by: Andy on Tuesday, 24th April, 2007Have spent most of last year with hardcore band, The Steal, Dave House returns to his more restrained solo career with his second album, See That No One Else Escapes.
House’s debut was released in 2004 to wide acclaim and fans will be pleased to find that his ability to marry his punk ethic to a more summery pop sound is still very much intact. As is his incisive lyrical style, which this time sees him giving a brief history of his life in education and asking that all important question: how can you like someone who likes The Klaxons?
Along the way, Dave mixes up the musical styles so as to keep everything interesting, but despite this, the album never seems disjointed. Proving himself as a high quality songwriter, he should pick up plenty of new fans with this album.
