Chris Cornell - Arms Around Your Love

Posted by: Andy on Tuesday, 15th May, 2007

Having been booted out of Audioslave when they decided they wasnted to be Rage Against The Machine again, Chris Cornell found himself with some time on his hands. “So,” he might have thought to himself, “time to knock off another solo album.”

Time indeed, Mr Cornell. It was 1999 last time you recorded one of those. Just after Soundgarden split up, in fact. Is there a pattern forming here?

Patterns or not, Chris Cornell has recorded his second solo album, Carry On, which will be released through Polydor on 28th May. Before that, comes the first single, Arms Around Your Love (second single, if you count his Bond theme You Know My Name, which also appears on the album).

As with everything Chris Cornell does these days, it reminds me of what a great band Soundgarden were. Man, they were a good band. I should go and listen to one of their albums instead of this slightly boring MOR stuff. Who is this anyway?
