Track A Tiger - We Moved Like Ghosts
Posted by: Andy on Tuesday, 29th May, 2007When Track A Tiger’s debut album, Woke Up Early The Day I Died was released in 2006, the news spread quickly. Bloggers and underground indie magazines were in love. Back then, it was the solo project of High School teacher Jim Vallet but Track a Tiger has since grown into a fully-fledged band.
We Moved Like Ghosts is the first effort from this expanded line-up and has been pressed on a strictly limited basis by stalwart of US indie, Deep Elm.
The album has a lush, atmospheric sound and manages to keep that intimate, late night feel of the debut. Taking cues from Low and Iron & Wine, the songs softly fill the room, slowly draping themselves over you.
This is the kid of album people recommend with a slightly scary look in their eye and very long, quickly-spoken sentences. Don’t ignore those people this time.
