Costar - Exit

Posted by: Andy on Monday, 18th June, 2007

Exit is the follow-up to Co-star’s 2004 debut album, Keep It Light. The most significant change to the band in the last three years is that they are no longer a side-project for former Libido frontman Brighton but a fully-fledged band for all involved.

Though very much a jangly indie-pop band, their music features a heavy Americana influence, which gives it a certain swaggering cool that other bands lack. And please note that I said “swaggering”, not “arrogant”. While everyone else worries about the size of their hair, Costar lean against the bar smoking loosely rolled cigarettes, like a bunch of indie cowboys.
