You can’t smash a window these days without spraying shards of glass over someone in the middle of making a slightly pretentious reference to Kate Nash being the new Lily Allen. But just in case you’re being especially careful at the moment, here’s a quick run down:

Kate Nash is the latest singer to adopt the pretend cockney, telling it like it is style. Her main competition comes from Jamie T and that Lily Allen. It’s such a perfect media package it can’t fail, she even sings a like about using “that voice you find annoying” for bitter hacks like me.

Bitter I may be, but I can still spot a good pop song when I see one and this is a good pop song. It will be big, and so shall she. You already love her, don’t you?
