The Verve - Richard Ashcroft, Nick McCabe, Simon Jones and Pete Salisbury - have announced that the have reformed and are working on new material.

In a statement on Richard Ashcroft’s solo website, as well as the new Verve website and MySpace page, the band announced that they went into a London studio to begin recording last week. After a break over the summer they will return to complete work on a new album.

Despite Ashcroft’s claims earlier this year that “you’re more likely to get all four Beatles on stage”, the group also announced six UK show in November.
