Truck Festival celebrates its tenth year in style with its best line-up yet. Started by brothers Robin & Joe Bennett of the band Goldrush, disappointed with mainstream festivals it has, nonetheless, been hailed as “the new Glastonbury”. But Truck is more like an exclusive musical village fete. The vicar sells ice cream, the burgers are served by the local Rotary Club and the barmen are all in drag!

The event, which takes place on 21st & 22nd July, has raised over £250,000 for youth and environmental charities. The 5000 tickets for this year’s event sold out within an hour.

The festival is presented by the Truck record label and features the best new and old acts from rock to drum’n'bass, including Idlewild, The Electric Soft Parade, The Brian Jonestown Massacre, Chase & Status, Glenn Tilbrook of Squeeze, Outl4w, Pull Tiger Tail, Goldrush, Piney Gir, The Early Years, iLike Trains, Grand Drive and Euros Childs.

Special guest on the Sunday is Garth Hudson of 60s legends and Bob Dylan’s backing group, The Band. It is part of Garth’s 70th birthday celebrations and he will perform several Band and Dylan songs with other festival artists.

For those disappointed fans unable to get tickets, Truck have a new offshoot, the 2000 Trees festival near Cheltenham, a festival dedicated to supporting environmental causes.
