The first single from Chicane’s latest album sounds like something of UNKLE’s debut. Specifically, Lonely Soul, the track DJ Shadow and James Lavelle recorded with The Verve’s Richard Ashcroft. It’s very much like a popped up version of that.

Similarities to other songs aside, this is a strong return for Nick Bracegirle after a rocky few years, which saw him have an album shelved after it was leaked on the internet and become known at “the one who did the music on that Irish tourism advert”. If the new album, entitled Somersault, holds up to this early promise it’ll be very good indeed.
