The Electric City - Sleeping With The Enemy

Listening to The Electric City’s debut single, you get the impression that something important is happening. They may be an unknown band on an unknown label but when you fire up those tunes all that suddenly changes. All three songs on the single are slick and powerful, with nods to the likes of Muse, Queens Of The Stone Age and Foo Fighters, but with a youthful urgency those old guys lost long ago.

I’m not the only one to notice this, either. Their MySpace profile has a constant stream of new fans stomping through it, radio stations are starting to take notice and anyone who’s anyone is inviting them to be a support act. Go listen and tell me they’re not the next big rock band.
