A new EP of old material, Is Is comprises five sounds written in 2004, apparently during a particularly turbulent and emotionally unstable time for the band. This negative energy was channelled into a style that shows a very different style to both Fever To Tell and Show Your Bones.

The stand out track, Down Boy, shudders and twitches with suspense, allowing itself a sly wiggle and smile for the chorus. Finally, Nick Zinner tears through it with his guitar, unable to hold back any longer.

Accompanied by live videos shot at two shows the Yeah Yeah Yeahs played in front of just 100 people each time, this EP is something a little bit special.
