The Bluetones - The Early Garage Years
Posted by: Andy on Thursday, 2nd August, 2007Discovered in a box during a house move, these early Bluetones recordings are a snapshot of a band not far off becoming one of the country’s most popular.
Made up of tracks from record company-financed, pre-record deal recordings, early single tracks and the odd home demo, there is something a bit special about listening with hindsight to a band who really had no idea what was just around the corner.
Don’t let yourself think that this is anything but a curiosity; with the tapes cleaned up and remastered for this release, this album stands up against and slots in nicely with the rest of the band’s back catalogue.
