Idlewild are set to release a best of compilation, entitled Scottish Fiction, this October. Featuring tracks from all five of their albums, including the recently released Make Another World but shunning the raucous debut mini-album Captain, it condenses an impressive back catalogue into one disc.

The package will also include a 3 hour DVD, featuring a live concert filmed this year at the Aberdeen Music Hall, all the Idlewild videos and over an hour of unseen documentary footage filmed over the last twelve years.

The band will be appearing at the forthcoming Connect Festival in Scotland and also at Harewood House in Leeds with Iggy & The Stooges before heading out on a headlining tour in October.
